Kris's Birthday CakeIt’s the world that is wrong not me.  I was delivering Kris’s Birthday cake and even after living on here for over 20 years, I forgot that in the spring these roads are full of pot holes and I didn’t leave enough time.  The pot holes, I can deal with, it’s the wash boards that drive me nuts.

Kris is a flower garden person, they wanted something with flowers and spring like and they wanted something different.  This one is different, it even has some real gold on the fence and flowers.

You have been imagining your wedding day since you were a little girl, so before meeting with the cake designer you should do the following:

  1. Determine your wedding cake budget; don’t go to a consolation with a baker who charges more per serving than is in your budget, as it will be a waste of your and their time.
  2. Find out if the baker has extra charges, i.e.: delivery, set up, certain flowers, etc., as this may take it out of your budget.
  3. Have a good idea of what you want
    1. Color scheme
    2. Flowers
    3. Approximately how many guests you expect

Merry–you did a super job with the colors. My husband is an Iron Mustang (40 yrs) so he knows a lot of the Knights. I’ve know Calvin for 20 yrs–so if he says it looked & tasted great–believe it. I was wondering if you are the lady who made the birthday cake for Zimmie in June. If so, again it was super & we snacked on it for 2 weeks. Zimmie’s my hubby & it was for his 70th birthday.

Matching MC Club Colors

I received a request to make a cake for the Knights of the Road MC Detroit.  They wanted it to match the patch on their vests exactly and be the same  size.  Well, I took the challenge and this picture shows I did it.  And it was butter-cream not fondant.
