The Mother and Sister of the bride picked up the Wedding Shower cake just prior to the Shower on Sunday. Looks like they liked it. Hope they enjoyed it as much as I did making it.
Happy Birthday Kris
It’s the world that is wrong not me. I was delivering Kris’s Birthday cake and even after living on here for over 20 years, I forgot that in the spring these roads are full of pot holes and I didn’t leave enough time. The pot holes, I can deal with, it’s the wash boards that drive me nuts.
Kris is a flower garden person, they wanted something with flowers and spring like and they wanted something different. This one is different, it even has some real gold on the fence and flowers.
When you want some that is different for a birthday, shower, wedding, or any other occasion, give me a call.

Speaking of Memories

I just love making memories. This is one of my memories cakes. On the bottom tier are Daddy’s baby pictures, On the top tier are Mommy’s baby pictures and framed on the top is the new babies picture (Ultrasound).
Memories cakes can be made for anniversaries, showers, birthdays, you name it. Each one in unique and a special tasteful memory.
The bridal shower cake is
one of the highlights of the party. Your guests, especially the “guest of honor”, will remember how it looks. Not just an ordinary dessert, it is often used as a centerpiece on the main table, or the focal point of a side table. You can be sure all the camera buffs will snap pictures.
Bridal shower cakes usually coordinate with the rest of the decorations. Put serious thought into the look you’d like. Using colors and designs that go along with your theme, will help in your decision. Will it look soft and romantic, or strong and vibrant? Will it have a casual or elegant feel?
Want to give the expectant mom some memories?

This is one of my favorite cakes as it makes a memory for not only the new mommy and daddy, but grandma & pa, auntie and uncles, and both new friends & those who knew them as kids.
This cake was for a baby shower that mommy almost didn’t get to as baby was born later that night. The bottom tier has baby pictures of mommy with top tier daddy’s baby pictures. The top is quite different with the baby shoes holding up an ulta-sound picture which I framed for mommy and daddy.
Just think of your mom and dad celebrating 25 or 50 years with pictures on their cake of them getting married, hold and playing with their children, and pictures of them doing things they have enjoyed doing together over the years.
What about a “Old lordy, look who’s 40?” cake having pictures of him as a kid, doing ridiculous things with friends, getting married, etc?
What about Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Wedding Showers, Graduation or any occasion making memories with this cake?
